DOWNTIME: Server upgrade planned

I am hoping to perform an upgrade of the forum server, and the forum software, later tonight (likely around 21:00 GMT). A holding page will be displayed while this occurs, but if you're unable to access the forums, just try again an hour or so later.

Let me know if you have any queries/concerns.

This upgrade has now been completed. Both the OS and phpBB have been upgraded, and you will hopefully find things running a little faster. If you spot anything wrong though, please let me know.

It's definitely running faster, but I don't seem to have any CSS/theme on mobile.

Edit: Or desktop. Tried logging out and in, forcing refresh, changing theme in the control panel, etc.

Oops, try now - a hard refresh may be required.

Also, I think the phpBB authentication link on the wiki is broken. I'm looking for a fix just now, but it may be tomorrow before I get it sorted - sorry!

New sign in method for the wiki is nearly ready - should be sorted tomorrow I hope!

You should now be able to sign into both the main TT Wiki and the NewGRF Specs wiki. When you press "Login", assuming you are logged into the forums, the wiki should automatically log you in using your forum details. (It should be possible for the wiki to pick this up initially, but I need to figure out how to do that and still allow guest access.) If you're not logged into the forums, you'll be presented with a forum login dialog then will be sent back to the wiki.

It's been pointed out though that user registration on the forums may currently be broken following the upgrade - I'll get this fixed as soon as possible.

Well, it seems I can change that for you. I don't think Owen would approve of me doing it on my own, but there is a Retired Moderator rank available.

I did a clear-out of moderators who hadn't signed in for years a while back (though I did message you all first) - forgot we had a retired moderator rank though, so you should now have it, andel. Good to see you here again.
